Beam is the side table with clean and simple design for its purpose. This table was created to understand the technique of wood making machinery and joinery in the manufacturing process.

The inspiration of Beam table is came from the structure of the house. Combining the house structure design into the table design is to make users believe the table can hold a lot of weight. The simple slip fit joinery not only for combining two different type of wood together, but also become a focal point on the table. The glass tabletop is to show the slip fit joinery and also showing the negative shape of square. Using Walnut and Ash is to give the contrast of wood grain, and play with the geometry of square that make the table have more character.
